Pick one per project. After every send it runs in the project folder, in a terminal that opens behind whatever you were doing. Try it: the command in the Settings window is a real text field.
Your desktop stays empty.
Every task gets one dated folder in ~/Nitsend: the captures, any recordings, your words in prompt.md, and task.json for scripts. Nothing is ever written to the Desktop.
Next month, when you’ve forgotten why you took it, it’s all still there, in order.

It tells your agent where you were. That’s all.
Each capture carries the app’s name and the window’s title, so your agent knows it was the checkout page in Chrome and not a hunch. Both sit in the compose box as chips, in plain sight, before you press Enter.
Nothing else is read. Not what’s inside the window beyond the pixels you captured, not your clipboard, not your other windows.

When a still won’t do, record it.
Press the shortcut, then R, to record a window, a region, or the whole screen with F, with your mic. Talk through the bug and skip typing: what you said is transcribed on your Mac and goes along with the clip. Recording is on macOS today; Windows and Linux are next. A small pill sits at the bottom of the screen while it runs. Press Stop, or the hotkey again. Your agent gets the clip, its first frame, and your note, so a screen recording bug report takes seconds.
Need more than one? Press Ctrl Shift S again from the compose box. The next capture joins the same task, numbered, with its own note.

Almost none. macOS, Windows, and Linux get the same app, the same shortcut, the same compose box, and the same folder. Windows and Linux are in beta: screenshots work everywhere, and recording follows macOS soon. One key covers three of your computers, any mix of the three.

How do I send a screenshot to Claude Code?
Press Ctrl Shift S, drag around what you mean, type a sentence, and press Enter. Nitsend opens a terminal in your project and runs Claude Code with your note and the screenshot’s path. Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode work the same way.
Do I need an account, or the internet?
No account, ever. Nitsend goes online once to activate your key on a computer, then works offline. It checks in about once a week so you can move your key between computers, and keeps working for 60 days without a connection. Your agent may need the internet. Nitsend barely does.
What gets sent, and where?
Only what you can see in the compose box: your captures, your notes, and the app and window title chips. Nitsend writes them to the task folder and runs your command in a terminal on your own machine. There’s no Nitsend server in the middle. What happens next is up to your agent.
Which agents does it work with?
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor’s agent, and OpenCode are one click. Anything else that runs in a shell works too: write the command once per project using $PROMPT, $IMAGES, and $DIR.
Do I have to draw on the screenshot?
No. Click a window or drag a region and you’re done. The red box is our logo, not homework. The only thing Nitsend adds to an image is its number.
What happens after 25 captures?
Nitsend asks for a key. $9, once, gets you every 1.x update on up to 3 computers at a time, on any mix of macOS, Windows, and Linux. There’s no subscription to cancel.
What if I get a new computer?
Free up a slot and activate the new one. Deactivate the old computer in Nitsend › Settings › License, or remove it at nitsend.ai/devices by signing in with the email you bought with. Your key moves as often as you like.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 30 days, reply to your receipt email and say so. A person reads it and sends your money back.
I lost my key.
Happens. Recover it with the email you paid with, or reply to your receipt.
